My work attempts to find order from a random or potentially meaningless starting point. Working with chance, language and time consuming methods I follow an idea through systematic and repetitive processes. I have a particular interest in the human motivation to sort, categorise and make sense.
My practice includes collections, embroidery, drawing and is often text based. Through a playful trial and error approach I explore what can be produced when disordered or unruly subject matter is brought together with orderly and obsessive techniques.
