Haworth Trust Applications Open for 2026/27
Open call for submissions! Three scholarships awarded by The Haworth Trust in collaboration with Paradise Works.
We are excited to announce that we are offering three new scholarships thanks to The Haworth Trust to support talented contemporary visual artists in developing ambitious new works and sustainable careers in Greater Manchester.
We are particularly interested in artists whose work has a strong relationship to, or references painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and/or music. This is our fifth year running this programme, previous recipients include Jessica El Mal, Lydia Marshall, and Cain Casson.
The award includes a free studio for a year, mentorship, and a materials budget. This opportunity will be awarded to two artists with an artistic practice of 3 years or less post graduation, and one early-mid career artist with a practice of 3-7 years post graduation. To culminate the award, the three artists will take part in a group show at Paradise Works’ gallery the following year.
Panel members for shortlisting / interviews will consist of Paradise Works Director Jessica Bennett, Paradise Works Programme Manager Kayt Woods and a member of the internal Artist Direction Group. The award will run from November 2026 till November 2027.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday 6th September 2026 at midnight.
